New product release: Audio Magic Ultimate Beeswax SHD Fuses

Audio Magic Ultimate Beeswax Fuses
Introducing Audio Magic's new Ultimate SHD Beeswax Fuse. We didn't think it could be any better but the new "Ultimate" is world class and then some! Now using a push-pull I-Core design instead of the single Core and Audio Magic upgraded the Black Out powder mixture for a broader noise absorption parameter.

The new Ultimate is extremely difficult to build considering Audio Magic is drilling into both sides of the fuse now, sometimes it takes up to 3 tries to get one good fuse - lots of labor involved. This fuse will give you tighter bass and yet sound relaxed - very natural sounding. The sound stage will become bigger and deeper, more detailed, better layering, better micro detail but with a relaxed musical presentation. This is not a subtle upgrade from the original Beeswax SHD fuse which will stay in the line up. For people that have to have the best this is it! Global retail price is $225.00 each. New line of products: ICHOS loudspeakers made in Vienna

ICHOS Loudspeakers made in Vienna
We're very glad to announce that highend-electronics has been appointed as US importer and distributor for ICHOS Hi-End  loudspeakers.

ICHOS loudspeakers are hand made in Vienna, Austria and follow a very different approach. ICHOS speakers use specially treated wideband drivers with an internal  back-loaded horn facing down. The proprietary dipole tweeter sits on top and augments the high frequencies. The absence of a crossover results in exceptional macro- and micro-dynamics, speed and details.

Last weekend at the Westdeutsche HiFi-Tage in Bonn Germany, ICHOS debut their brand new Mark II series. We expect the first delivery at the end of October. In the meantime check out their website in Vienna, Austria - CLICK HERE

New review: KR Audio VA910 Mono Blocks on The Audio Beat

KR Audio VA910 Mono Block Amplifer
Ross Mantle, The Audio Beat (Sept. 2017):
"...the KR Audio VA910 monoblocks outclass more expensive competition both in price and performance with no fuss and a sense of high reliability. They are not what most would call inexpensive, but they offer world-class sound at something of a budget-conscious price. I cannot speak for everything on the market, but I would not be surprised to find that the VA910s surpass all comers at their power output and price. But regardless of power and price, these are emotionally involving, superbly engineered, aesthetically understated monoblocks that are unconditionally compatible with all types of music -- beauty and truth in equal parts..."

Two new reviews for Synergistic Research's Galileo UEF Cable Series

Synergistic Research Galileo UEF Cable Series
Howard Kneller, Soundstage Ultra:
"...Synergistic Research’s Galileo UEF interconnects and speaker cables are technical tours de force that demonstrate just how far the art of cable making has come since the Golden Enz days of electrical-grade copper conductors and connectors of gold-plated nickel. They serve as a reminder of three audiophile truths: the simplest circuit does not always sound the best, the highest-performing products are often not the most expensive, and despite all the amazing progress made, the art continues to advance..."

Mike Girardi, StereoTimes: "...although the Atmosphere UEF Level 4 cables are excellent cables within their price point, the technology employed in the Galileo UEF cables significantly improved upon the performance of the Atmosphere UEF Level 4 cables. Inner detail, low level musical signal retention, and the ability for the listener to easily pinpoint outlines within a well-defined soundstage were exemplary through the Galileo UEF cables.  Instruments and vocals sounded lifelike and not electrically constructed through the Galileo UEF cables. The lower noise floor conferred many benefits in the areas of micro and macrodynamics which for me, is at the heart of enjoying recorded music. I have a new reference..." CLICK HERE to check it out

New review: KR Audio P135 preamp on Positive Feedback

KR Audio P135 direct heated triode preampBrad Morrical of Positive Feedback concluded (August 2017):
"...so, what now to make of this smallest of high-end preamplifiers?  It is highly resolved in the best sense of the word where one can see into the recordings of sufficient quality. It has a soft touch that seems to be often in character with DHT (direct heated triode) output stages but loses none of the dynamics one would expect from a top preamplifier. All of this was more or less what I expected given the KR Audio heritage and it is just these characteristics that give their big amps such a strong reputation for performance. What surprised me the most was the effective punch in the bass that it delivers, which is the equal of the NAT Plasma and Einstein "The Tube" preamplifiers. This is also in character with KR amps but given the diminutive size of this preamplifier I was taken a bit off guard. Finally, music through this preamplifier just made sense and it welded things together in a convincing manner that allowed dissection without disintegration. I think that the KR Audio P-135 should be one anyone's shortlist when looking for a preamplifier between 4-10K Euro as it is really superb sounding and as such offers excellent value..."

New review: High Fidelity reviews Cantano W/T Turntable & Tonearm

Cantano W/T Turntable & TonearmWojciech Pacula of High Fidelity (September 2017) concluded:
"...Mr. Oliver von Zedlitz's turntable has a class. That's a term used once to describe unique women or men – all it took was just one look at them and it was obvious – they have a class. Others, no matter how hard they tried, simply never had IT. That's how I perceive the Cantano - the W turntable and the T tonearm. It is modest in expression, sophisticated in design, and it sounds beautifully. It does not impress so easily as other decks, i.e. it does not seduce listener after the first few minutes. One needs some experience to understand what the class of this device is about. It is about the beauty of music without imposing turntable's own character – that's exactly it..."
