BRAND NEW - ARRIVING SOON - PRE-ORDER NOW

The Synergistic Research Ethernet Switch Mk.II represents a significant leap forward in network audio technology and digital audio reproduction, incorporating advanced innovations first developed for SR's flagship Voodoo server and PowerCell SRX line conditioner. Inside, SR now houses their most current Electromagnetic Cells for signal filtration, an Ultra-Low Frequency (ULF) biasing system, and the latest linear power supply technology, building upon the success of SR's first-generation UEF Ethernet Switch in such a way that dramatically improves every aspect of its performance to achieve unprecedented levels of digital signal purity. Audibly, these advancements translate to a noticeably expanded soundstage, enhanced resolution, and improved tonal accuracy across the frequency spectrum compared to the original UEF Ethernet Switch. Bass notes gain authority and articulation, while treble extends with airy precision, unveiling musical details that were previously obscured. With the Synergistic Research Ethernet Switch Mk II, Synergistic Research sets another new standard for networked audio.

Key Features

Improved EM Filtration
At the heart of the Mk.II are SR's next-generation Electromagnetic Cells (EM Cells), the first reengineering of their technology since SR sought the original patent. Initially developed for the PowerCell SRX to address both power and signal clarity in the digital domain, they selectively filter high-frequency noise from incoming AC power and the digital signal path, eliminating electromagnetic interference (EMI) and switching noise that can degrade audio quality. This results in a significantly lower noise floor compared to the original UEF Ethernet Switch.

Now with Ultra Low Frequency Biasing
A critical advancement in the Mk.II is introducing SR's ULF (Ultra Low Frequency) Biasing system, a feature absent in the first-generation model. This groundbreaking technology replaces high-frequency noise with harmonics of the Earth’s Schumann Resonance, which pass through the EM Cells unaltered. Unlike the previous switch, which focused solely on first order noise reduction, the Mk.II enhances system musicality through this ULF Biasing.

Linear Power Supply
The Mk.II also incorporates SR's latest linear power supply (LPS) technology, refined during the development of the Voodoo server. This advanced LPS optimizes the DC bias for the EM Cells and the switch itself, unlocking performance levels unattainable from the first-gen UEF Switch. The result is cleaner power delivery and more stable, jitter-free data transmission, even under peak network loads.

Robert Youman of Positive Feedback writes (12/2021):
"...there are products that can be considered just the icing on the cake. This is not that. The Ethernet Switch UEF provides a dramatic step forward for streaming and digital performance. It is an important component and without question a real game changer. Congrats to Synergistic Research for another outstanding design and for the superb product execution..."

Rick Becker of Enjoy the Music.com writes (November 2021):
"... we switched [from the EtherREGEN switch] to the Synergistic Research Ethernet Switch UEF. The same song got a lot better. There was more air and a sense of the venue. The sibilants were brought under better (but not complete) control. The musicians were more specifically located, though not pinpointed. The timbre of instruments seemed more correct and there was more tonal color. The soloists became more real, as did the applause. Overall, the music was considerably more enjoyable, as well it should be for the price difference, clearly proving that better Ethernet switches make a significant difference..."
