Just arrived... Contrast Audio's new top-line speakers - the Contrast SOUL Pro is a high efficient floor-standing passive speaker system. Handmade from top to bottom in Kiev, the Ukraine, with minimum filtering and in-house made highly linear drivers. The Contrast SOUL incorporates all of the creation experience of all of Contrast’s designs and developments.

The cabinet is finished with a high quality, glossy piano finish. The front baffle is constructed of solid beech wood, and is mounted using a cork gasket to provide vibration control. The system also comes with adjustable stainless steel spikes that can be used to regulate the height.

For the low-frequency section a resonant port, a Laval Nozzle was used which provides:
• a more accurate linear characterization in the low-frequency range
• a lower frequency threshold
• the best possible frequency-shifting characteristics in the mid-range

In order to optimize the system the necessary adjustments in midrange- and bass-drivers as well as the tweeters were made. The sound is the typical Contrast Audio sound: a very natural sound with a warm, relaxed timbre - a pleasure to listen to and very enjoyable. The US retail price is $7,750 for the pair. We're glad to announce that Voxativ received the Gold Show Award for Best Sound at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2016 from AVShowrooms.

An new review was just released on Enjoy the Music for Synergistic Research's BLACK fuses and BLACK UEF duplex receptacle.

Rick Becker concluded: "...if after trying the fuses and outlet you are impressed, you will be poised to spend large for cables and a PowerCell. That's where the fun really begins. The pain of doing so will be greatly reduced by the Black Fuses having doubled the apparent value of your phono stage, preamp and amplifier. While many will think of fuses as a tweak, to my mind, the Black Fuse has become an essential component. Reviewing these two products has been a ride (and the road goes on forever) so the Black Fuses and the UEF Black Duplex outlet are staying right here in my armory... even if you have laid out the $600,000 for the system I heard, I'd place a gentlemen's bet that you'd love it even more with Black Fuses and the UEF Black Duplex outlets in the wall. It's the least expensive way I know to give your system a qualitative upgrade of such magnitude..."

A new product was released by our partner from Tokyo, Aurorasound.

The Aurorasound SP-03 Step Up Transformer for MC Cartridges is designed for the use with low impedance cartridges. It comes in two versions. The SP-03L for cartridges with up to 15 Ohm and the SP-03H for cartridges with 15 to 100 Ohm. The US retail price is $1900.
